In Memory

I decided to take one of my favorite sayings and create a little sign.  I made one for my home and one for my niece in memory of my Mom!  This was a quick and easy little craft! 

What you'll need:
-Sign (I chose both of mine from Michael's)
-Markers (I used paint markers, but sharpies work too!)
-Burlap Bows!

I just simply wrote the quote on the sign above.  For the sign below, I used a plain wooden sign and painted it pink, before writing the quote.  

Then I added the burlap bows, which I also found at Michael's!  Quick and easy!  Happy crafting y'all! 

Mermaid Souvenirs!

My family just got back from a beach vacay and brought me home a few souvenirs! They are perfect!

Glitter Magnets

I found this little craft on Pinterest! 

What you'll need: 

-glue

-glitter

-glass pebbles

-mod podge spray

-magnet

-hot glue 

Dip the back of the glass pebble in glue, I used elmers glue, then dip in glitter.  I waited a few minutes for the glue to dry and then sprayed the glitter with mod podge spray. After that dried I used hot glue to secure the magnet. They turned out so cute and work great for hanging art work on the fridge! Happy crafting, y'all! 

Homemade Snow Globe

These snow globes are super easy and lots of fun to make. 

What you'll need:

-glass jar 

-glitter

-water

-figurine 

-water resistant glue

-glycerin 

We used spray paint to  cover the lid, depending on what kind of jar you're using will determine if you need to paint the lid!  To start, attach the figurine to the inside lid of the glass jar. Add water, a few drops of glycerin, and glitter. Make sure the glue is water resistant and also be sure to fill the jar as much as possible with water to prevent the glitter from separating on the top and bottom of the jar. 

I also used water resistant glue to seal the lid to the jar. Really easy and lots of fun! Hope y'all enjoyed!!!

Finger Painting Flamingo!

Today's craft was selected specifically for my guest crafter to give as a gift!

What you'll need:
-Paint (Pink)
-Glitter
-Sharpie
-Glue
-Canvas
-Mod Podge Spray

We started by painting the canvas white.  I then painted my guest crafter's hand pink!  She imprinted her hand onto the canvas and we let it dry.  Once dry, I applied a small coat of glue and we applied the glitter.  I used a sharpie to make the beak, eyes, and legs!  After the glue had dried, I sprayed the painting with Mod Podge Spray! 

Dandelion Dreams

Day two from my crafting adventures with my guest crafter!!! As I stated before, I choose these crafts to be quick and easy for kids!  I found this idea on Pinterest!  I chose this craft because I like the hands on finger painting, what kid doesn't like getting their hands a little dirty?

What you'll need:
-Paint
-Dandelion Template
-Hand Soap
-Water

I poured a few different colors of enamel paint into a paint palette.  Once I printed the dandelion template, we just dipped our fingers into the paint and applied to the template!  I chose to take a more simplistic concept, where as my guest crafter decided to take her creativity to the next level!   

Be sure to have hand soap and warm water ready to go to get those paint covered fingers clean!  Hope y'all enjoyed! Happy crafting!

Pixie Dust Magical Bottles

Here's the first craft feature from my adventures with my guest crafter!

What you'll need:
-Voss Water Bottle (we used glass)
-Water
-Glitter
-Glitter Glue
-Glycerin
-Brillo Pad
-Super Glue

First! Drink your water!  Once the water bottle is empty, use the brillo pad and warm water to remove the logo and product information for the bottle- I was surprised at how easy this came off, just take a few minutes!

Onto the bottle contents, we poured glitter, glitter glue, and a few drops of glycerin into the bottle and then added warm water.  For the glitter glue, we just used the Crayola Glitter Glue tubes and we used two per bottle.  At first the glitter seemed a little clumpy, but once you shake the bottle and allow the water to dissolve everything, the clumps went away. Use super glue on the inside of the cap to ensure that the top doesn't unscrew!

Loved making these bottles!!!  It's incredibly soothing to watch as the glitter settles, think I'll keep this one on my desk at work! Happy crafting, y'all!
