Personalized Gifting!

Hello y'all! For those of you who don't already know, I'm also a Scentsy consultant!  Today I'm sharing a quick DIY using a Scentsy warmer called "Charmer."  I needed a gift last Christmas for someone who loves flip flops.  I couldn't think of what to get her, knowing that she is gifted a lot of flip flop stuff and this idea popped into my head!  I found someone on Etsy that makes flip flop decals.  Once I completed the flip flop warmer, I really wanted one myself!  I ordered my monogram from the same Etsy shop and made my own!  They both turned out really pretty!  This is a great idea if you're looking for something personalize this holiday season!!!

Mason Jar Candle

Hello! Here's a fun little craft I found on Pinterest! 

What you'll need:

-Mason Jar

-Mod Podge (I used the spray not the glue)

-Glitter

-Battery operated Tea Light

-Ribbon

Spray the inside of the mason jar with mod podge (or you can coat it with glue). Add glitter.  I put the lit back on and shook the jar until the glitter covered the glass.  Then, simply add a tea light to the inside and screw the glass on top of the lid.  I added a little ribbon to match the decor in the room. In Memory

I decided to take one of my favorite sayings and create a little sign.  I made one for my home and one for my niece in memory of my Mom!  This was a quick and easy little craft! 

What you'll need:
-Sign (I chose both of mine from Michael's)
-Markers (I used paint markers, but sharpies work too!)
-Burlap Bows!

I just simply wrote the quote on the sign above.  For the sign below, I used a plain wooden sign and painted it pink, before writing the quote.  

Then I added the burlap bows, which I also found at Michael's!  Quick and easy!  Happy crafting y'all! 

Repurpose Scentsy Clam Shells

As many of you already know, I'm a Scentsy Independent Consultant!  Today I wanted to share some ideas I've had on reusing Scentsy clam shells!  I get so many of these and I love finding ways to reuse them!!! 

What you'll need:

-Empty clam shell

-Glue (Elmers & hot glue)

-Scrapbooking Paper

-Scissors

-Googly Eyes

-Pipe Cleaners

-Magnets

For the first project, I made a critter out of the lid portion of the clam shell. I cut a piece of scrapbook paper to the shape of the lid.  Using Elmer's glue I secured the paper to the lid, then added the eyes and nose.  I used a marker to make the mouth.  Using a hot glue gun, I secured the pipe cleaner to the back of lid and also secured the magnet. I used corners of the scrapbooking paper to create the ears and glued them to the outer portion of the lid!   

When I initially used the magnets on the back of the lid, I used Styrofoam to lift the magnet out of the lid a little, but I later found it was easier to glue the magnet directly to the lid. 

This next project is great for my fellow Scentsy Consultants!  I cut the lid off of old clam shells and added my label with my information.  It's a great play on a business card!  I just glued a magnet on the back.  I use it as a bag stuffer when packaging orders and my customers love it!  

This isn't so much a project, but sharing an idea!  I love using the empty wax portion of the clam shell as a pallet for paints!  It comes in handy with all the crafting and painting I've been doing lately!!! 

The last idea is kinda fun!  I took a clam shell and glued a piece of scrapbook paper on the front.  I then cut eight slips of paper and tucked them into each section.  On the pieces of paper I wrote a small object, for example "penny" or "paper clip" to create a scavenger hunt.  Obviously you can write what ever you heart desires on the slips of paper, I was trying to think of little things that would fit into the little compartments!

Flip Flop Frame!

Welcome!

Today's post is a quickie!  I purchased an adorable frame from (you guessed it!) Michael's and I wasn't sure what to do with it!  Finally I decided to just paint it!  I added glitter to give it a pretty shimmer and added little polka dots on the straps.  

So cute!!! I'm sure there are a million ways to decorate these little frames, you could always add little embellishments like little pearls, ribbon, flowers, butterflies, the list goes on!

Gift Basket

I made this gift basket for Mother's Day!  Really easy to make too! 

What you'll need: 

-Basket

-Paint

-Brushes 

-Stencils

-Embellishments (flowers/ribbon)

-Wine!

I started by painting the basket. Once it dried, I used a stencil to make the polka dots. I used ribbon to accent the middle of the basket and added flowers through out the basket. Don't forget to indulge in some wine while crafting!

Then, fill with goodies! It makes the gift special and personalized. And, the basket can be used for so many things!

Glitter Magnets

I found this little craft on Pinterest! 

What you'll need: 

-glue

-glitter

-glass pebbles

-mod podge spray

-magnet

-hot glue 

Dip the back of the glass pebble in glue, I used elmers glue, then dip in glitter.  I waited a few minutes for the glue to dry and then sprayed the glitter with mod podge spray. After that dried I used hot glue to secure the magnet. They turned out so cute and work great for hanging art work on the fridge! Happy crafting, y'all! 

Mermaid Photo Frame

Super excited about this craft! Here we go! 

What you'll need:

-picture frame

-sea shells

-hot glue

-star fish

-pearls 

-paint 

-glass pebbles

I purchased frames from the dollar store, just in case this didn't go as planned, I wasn't out a lot of money!  We started by painting the picture frames. Once the frames were dry, we used hot glue to secure the shells, glass pebbles, and pearls. Then- add a photo! And you've got yourself a mermaid frame!

Homemade Snow Globe

These snow globes are super easy and lots of fun to make. 

What you'll need:

-glass jar 

-glitter

-water

-figurine 

-water resistant glue

-glycerin 

We used spray paint to  cover the lid, depending on what kind of jar you're using will determine if you need to paint the lid!  To start, attach the figurine to the inside lid of the glass jar. Add water, a few drops of glycerin, and glitter. Make sure the glue is water resistant and also be sure to fill the jar as much as possible with water to prevent the glitter from separating on the top and bottom of the jar. 

I also used water resistant glue to seal the lid to the jar. Really easy and lots of fun! Hope y'all enjoyed!!!

Dandelion Dreams

Day two from my crafting adventures with my guest crafter!!! As I stated before, I choose these crafts to be quick and easy for kids!  I found this idea on Pinterest!  I chose this craft because I like the hands on finger painting, what kid doesn't like getting their hands a little dirty?

What you'll need:
-Paint
-Dandelion Template
-Hand Soap
-Water

I poured a few different colors of enamel paint into a paint palette.  Once I printed the dandelion template, we just dipped our fingers into the paint and applied to the template!  I chose to take a more simplistic concept, where as my guest crafter decided to take her creativity to the next level!   

Be sure to have hand soap and warm water ready to go to get those paint covered fingers clean!  Hope y'all enjoyed! Happy crafting!

Cork Board!

This one is a quicky!  I had a cork board that was damaged and I didn't want to throw it out.  I was in the dollar section at Target and found this cute contact paper and adorable flag pins that matched! 

It was so incredibly easy to cut the contact paper to size and secure over the cork board. 

All I had to do was add photos and done!  So simple and matches perfectly with my office!  Hope y'all enjoyed! Have a great day!
